Why choose individual coaching?

At different stages of life, it is common to need to pause and take stock.

You can feel like you don’t have the right answers, don’t know how to move forward, or quite simply what to be moving towards...

Embarking on an individual coaching journey helps clarify all of this.

By committing to a number of sessions with a professional coach: you are offering yourself space and time for reflection: taking a step back and becoming more self-aware, identifying your constraints or blockages, and choosing strategies to overcome them, with concrete and measurable results.

The ICF (International Coaching Federation) defines coaching as follows: “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”

Coaching is therefore solution-oriented and not problem-focused / based in the present and looking to the future, and not the past / centered on the individual and not on others / rooted in the concrete, and not the conceptual.

By defining a precise objective from the start, as the sessions progress, thanks to his coach, the client gives himself the means to achieve it. The coach’s role consists of creating the conditions for the client to discover and activate his resources and find his own solutions.

To understand what coaching is, it is also interesting to understand what it is not ...

A coach is neither a therapist, nor a counselor, nor a trainer, nor a mentor, nor a consultant. The coach is an observer, a guide, and a facilitator who helps the client move forward.

Examples of common topics / objectives:

Professional reorientation / decision-making / self-confidence / relationships with others / taking up a new position / managing a team / starting a new activity / preparing for a key event / managing a conflict, etc ...
